Stoke-On-Trent & Staffordshire Skills Hub have an allocation of funding available for eligible Staffordshire businesses.
You may qualify for a £1,000 funding grant designed to train or upskill both new and existing staff, helping your business to grow, adapt, and thrive with the skills your employees need.
Working with Strategi Learning, you could use this grant to upskill your team across a variety of topics:
- Essential Management Skills
- Advanced Management Skills
- Customer Service Skills
- Essential Supervisory Skills
- Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
- HR Survival Skills
- Leadership Development Programme
- Problem Solving & Decision Making
- Preventing Sexual HarassmentThis £1,000 of skills funding is available to businesses (SMEs) that trade in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire Moorlands & East Staffordshire.
- Any sectors or industries, including B2C, B2B and Charities are eligible
- Businesses must have been trading for more than 6 months

Are you a Cannock Chase based business? Cannock Chase Council is delivering a grant programme for small and medium sized enterprises, (SMEs), based in the area.
The ‘Grants 4 Growth’ business support grant is available to SMEs trading within Cannock Chase District. Between £1,000 and £10,000 is available for the following revenue spend:
- Digital Marketing or social media campaigns to increase sales
- Creation of a new website or upgrading of the existing one
- Upskilling of employees – Short Training Courses

This grant is match funded and the intervention rate is set at 60 % contribution by Cannock Chase Council and 40% by the applicant.
The Grants 4 Growth Funding is subject to availability and applications will close on 18 December 2025 or as soon as funds are fully allocated.

Are you a Stafford based business? Through the 2025-26 UK Shared Prosperity Fund, Stafford Borough Council has launched a new fund to support micro, small, and medium sized independent businesses (SMEs). If your business is aged 2 years and upwards and is based in commercial premises, located within the local authority area of Stafford Borough, this funding could be for you.
The grants available range from a minimum of £2,000 to a maximum of £25,000 to support businesses to purchase specific services to help you scale up:
- Website design and digital projects
- Marketing materials, advertising and publicity, social media campaigns
- Upskilling of employees for short courses
