Read about Strategi and Alzheimer’s Society

Strategi’s chosen charity for 2025 will be Alzheimer’s Society.

The Society work towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

We have chosen this charity for 2025 as some of our teams are experiencing first-hand the devastated effect of living with Dementia and Alzheimer’s, with family members who are currently living with this dreadful disease.

Over the course of the next 12-months we’ll be holding various fundraising events to raise awareness and much needed funds to ensure Alzheimer’s Society can continue to support people and their families living with the condition.

Read about Strategi and WOW Flowers

Most people love receiving flowers, they convey a message of love, happiness, sadness, thoughts of new beginnings, WOW Flowers was launched as a way of spreading joy to others who may need more support.

Strategi team members Wendy and Michaela recently completed level 1 and 2 in Floristry at Newcastle-under-Lyme College.

WOW Flowers has been created so that they can share their love for making floral arrangements whilst helping good causes at the same time.

The focus for Strategi Solutions with the help of Wendy and Michaela during 2025 is to raise awareness and greatly needed funds for Alzheimer’s Society who coincidentally has a Forget Me Not flower as its logo.

Michaela’s dad has Alzheimer’s, and she sees first-hand the difficulty this brings, not just to her dad, but to her entire family. What could be better than to raise money for this worthwhile cause, whilst introducing people to floristry skills for the first time.

Over the next year, we will be organising events related to creating arrangements with flowers. Wendy and Michaela will give their time for free, with proceeds going to Alzheimer’s Society.

Read about Strategi and Symmetrical North Staffs

Symmetrical is a charity with the sole purpose of supporting young people in North Staffordshire between the ages of 17 and 25 who are growing away from social care and building a life as an independent young adult.

Their mission is to surround young people leaving care with support from adults who have the skills, knowledge, experience and goodwill to act as mentors. Mentors who can offer help to gain access to education, training, work and a social and professional network that is sometimes provided by family and friends.

The vision of the charity is to help youngsters develop into independent and responsible adults. Their team work with young people, listen to them, understand their aspirations and collaborate when they ask for support. They provide practical help to young people, that they want and ask for, with everything from learning to look after themselves and their homes to celebrating successes together.

They help them to plan their futures, their independent futures as resilient young people making their own way. In brief, if a youngster asks for help with something, the team work hard to collaborate with them and find a way to provide it.

Strategi Solutions have supported the team at Symmetrical North Staffs since 2021 by giving time for the use of creative and marketing services. We created a website for the charity, which is hosted, maintained and updated by our team. In addition, we manage and maintain their social media channels, working with the team to create strategic marketing campaigns to ensure the charity’s key messages are promoted. 2026 will see the charity celebrate their 5th birthday, and we are proud to be a supporter of the charity and the important work they do for young people in our local area.

Read about Strategi and Big Girl Pants

Our Big Girls Pants fundraiser was created when the wife of our CEO Rob Fisher was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in October 2022.

When Sue received her diagnosis, she said that she would need to put her big girl pants on, the phrase stuck amongst everyone and served as a reminder to us all that even when life becomes difficult, we can decide how we respond. Big Girl Pants celebrates the ability to be strong even when you don’t want to be, to be calm when you may not have the answers, and to remain positive through the most difficult of times.

Not long after Sue received her diagnosis Eileen step mum of Wendy Dean (Founder & Chair) also received the awful news that she had Breast Cancer, and shortly after another member of the Strategi team Jenna, revealed the devastating news that her mum Gill had also been diagnosed with this terrible disease – three people all close family members of the Strategi team all diagnosed in a matter of months, helped us to make up our mind – our chosen charity for 2023 would be the Breast Care teams at the UHNM.

Our Big Girl Pants fundraiser celebrated all the people who’ve had to put on their Big Girl Pants when they have faced difficult times. Through various fundraising challenges and our Big Girl Pants charity ball we raised over £24,000 for the UHNM charity, will all monies raised going towards purchasing equipment for the new dedicated Breast Care Unit at County Hospital, Stafford.  Funds will be used to purchase high specification relaxation chairs for the Chemotherapy unity, and some of the latest, high-tech beds which support clinical colleagues in taking a patient’s observations.
